How do I reserve a puppy from you?
After you have made the decision to adopt/purchase a puppy from Superior Doodles, the next step would be to fill out an Online Puppy Application and submit it to us. As a breeder, it is our responsibility to ensure that each of our puppies find loving homes where they will be well cared for and the application process helps us with that. Once the application is received we will then reach out to you with further information on how to reserve an available puppy or join a waitlist.
What is your waitlist process?
To be officially placed on a waitlist we require a $500 deposit. This will go towards the final price of your puppy.
This deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to another waitlist. (only can be transferred 1x)
Please note if you choose to move to a seperate waitlist at any time you will be placed at the bottom of the list.
Do you do genetic health testing on your parent dogs?
Yes! Being a responsible, ethical breeder, we do our best to ensure you will be getting a healthy puppy. This process begins by making sure we are breeding two healthy dogs to produce the litter we want to offer. We do a lot of research into the dogs we choose for our breeding program and one of the most important aspects of that research is ensuring our parent dogs have a healthy lineage. All of our parent dogs are health tested and clear of any detrimental genetic issues.
please note: one copy of a variant in genetic testing does not constitute a detrimental genetic issue. According to Embarkvet.com where we do our testing, one copy of a variant is unlikely to develop into a clinical disease but the information can be useful to inform veterinarians for care or breeding.
Do you offer a genetic health guarantee?
Each one of our puppies are sold with a 1-Year Genetic Health Guarantee. We guarantee that your puppy is being sold free from any life threatening disease or defect or we will replace your puppy free of charge from one in a next available litter See Contract & Health Guarantee Page for Info
Can I choose my own puppy and how does that process work?
Yes, We allow our clients to choose their puppy. We also encourage matching up their energy/activity/temperment levels to each family if preferred. Choice of puppy is given in the order of deposit/waitlist and only when the puppies are 5-6 weeks old. We try to help our clients find the puppy that suits their needs best. It is in everyones best interest to find a puppy that will fit their expectations. here at Superior Doodles we take this very seriously and do our due diligence in guiding families to the right family pet.
Do you allow visitors to come and see the dogs and puppies prior to purchasing?
At this time we are only allowing waitlist families to visit via FaceTime/Zoom.
We take the risk of Parvo, Giardia, Coccidiosis, extremely seriously and pups are not fully vaccinated until 18-22 weeks of age. Parvo can wipe out entire litters of puppies and other family pets in our home so we take the health risks extremely seriously and it is non negotiable. Most puppies go home with new families at 8 weeks of age ( Per Ohio Law). We also encourage families not to take their new pets out at and about at 8 weeks of age and wait until fully vaccinated.

We understand this can be an inconvenience, which is why we provide ample opportunity to FaceTime, Zoom, speak on phone, send photos and videos etc.
What are the different generations of goldendoodles that you offer?
We breed F1, F1b and Multigen Goldendoodles here at Superior Doodles.
F1 Goldendoodles - This is a cross between a purebred Golden Retriever and a purebred Poodle. They typically resemble the Golden Retriever a little more than the F1b as they are 50% Golden Retriever and 50% Poodle. These dogs typically have low to non shedding coats. Some will have the straighter coats with a loose wave to it. These coats will sometimes be low shedding. Others will have the fleecy coats and will shed very little to nothing at all. If you are wanting strong Retriever characteristics and you are okay with possibly some shedding, this would be a great option. If you have allergies, you may want to consider the F1b or Multigen breedings.
F1b Goldendoodles - This cross is when we take our F1 Goldendoodle and breed it back to a Poodle. This creates a 75% Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever puppy. These dogs will quite often look very similar to the F1 Goldendoodles in that many still keep that nice, fleecy coat type. The litters normally have a few with the fleecy coat types and a few with the curly coat types. The fleecy coat typed F1b puppies are typically extremely low to non shedding. The ones with curly hair don’t typically shed at all and if they do it is very minimal. The F1b is an excellent choice for those who suffer from allergies.
Multigen Goldendoodles - Through our years of experience, we have now come to the point where we use our trusted genetics and we will breed two totally unrelated Goldendoodles together. We do all the proper DNA testing to ensure that we are getting the low to non shedding offspring from these matings. We have found that the Mulitgens are just as good as the F1b for those with allergies as they are also low to non shedding. The advantage of breeding Mulitgen Goldendoodles here at Superior Doodles is that we are able to get more of the colors we are looking for in our puppies such as the red and white abstract or Parti colored coats.
Is there an advantage to owning a hybrid over a purebred?
Yes! there is most definitely an advantage to owning a hybrid. "Hybrid Vigor" occurs in these mixed breed dogs. What this means is that when two totally unrelated dogs are mixed with breeds like the poodle and golden retriever they tend to be healthier dogs and live longer because there hasn't been any line breeding done in their lineages like in Purebred dogs.
Are doodles hypoallergenic and non shedding?
While no breeder is able to guarantee you a non shedding dog. there are many who do not shed or are extremely low shedding. (15 hairs in 30 mins of brushing) We have found that most people with allergies do very well with tolerating Doodles.
Everyone can have different varying levels and types of allergies. If you are typically allergic to pet dander or hair then doodles are usually a great fit.
